The Gulashvani Forest Park is artificially planted and represents a 30-species of coniferous forest. It is located 5 km northeast of the village of Khani, in the valley of the river Khani, at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. The grove was planted in 1977. The goal of the researchers was to identify the species that were resistant to plant diseases that were common during that period. Seeds of 33 species of coniferous plants were brought from different parts of the former Soviet Union. Then, it was planted on an area of 5 hectares. 30 species out of 33 thrive and the grove is an interesting place today. The distance to Gulashvani Forest Park is 55 km from Kutaisi.
