Sachkhere railway station is a cultural heritage monument of Georgia. It is located in the center of the city on the right bank of the river Kvirila. It is built of well-processed stone. The history of the railway in Sachkhere begins in 1904 when the first railway line was laid here on the initiative of the famous Georgian philanthropist Elizabeth Tsereteli.
