The main temple named after St. George of Ubisa monastic complex was built in the 9th-10th centuries. The painting of the Ubisa Cathedral has shown us unique samples of the Georgian painting schools. The temple of Ubisa was painted in the 14th century during the reign of King George the Magnificent. In the temple, there is a magnificent composition of all holidays: Annunciation, Palm Sunday, Crucifixion, Easter, Epiphany, and others. Books were copied here for centuries, there were engraving and icon painting schools.
