Sataplia Nature Reserve is located near Kutaisi, only 6 km away from the city. This is a unique place. One can see the footprints of dinosaurs that lived million years ago, travel to a prehistoric karst cave, and visit Colchis Park. A visitor can enjoy the beautiful views that overlook Imereti from a spectacular vantage point made of glass. There is an exhibition hall on the territory of the reserve. The dummies of interactive dinosaurs are also placed there. The reserve was established in 1935. A total of 200 footprints of predatory and herbivorous dinosaurs have been found there. The reserve area covers 354 hectares.
