The Vani Archaeological Museum was opened in 1985. The museum is named after Otar Lortkipanidze, an academician who was a founder of the museum. The museum is located on a hill near the small town of Vani in western Georgia, on the left bank of the river Rioni. Here in ancient times, one of the most important cities of ancient Colchis was located, which flourished in III-I cc BC. The museum-reserve includes: the ruins of the city Vani, the expedition base and the museum.

This is a house-museum of Niko Nikoladze (1843-1928), a famous public figure, publicist, scientist and founder of the Poti seaport. Niko Nikoladze was the importer of European values, high technologies of that time in Georgia. He implemented the most important infrastructure projects such as the founding Poti, the city and the construction of the seaport in Poti, the construction of Tbilisi-Poti railway (the first railway in the Transcaucasia), etc. The Niko Nikoladze House-Museum was opened in the village of Didi Jikhaishi in 1951.

Galaktion Tabidze (1891-1959) "Georgian King of Poets" Museum is located in the village of Chkvishi, the Vani Municipality. Galaktion introduced the reader to a completely new poetic world and, with his abundant poetic talent, took Georgian poetics to a new stage. "Artistic Flowers" earned him universal acclaim which was published in 1919 and named him "Genius Galaktioni" and "King of Poets." Galaktion Tabidze and his glorious work have always been in the center of attention of Western literary critics.

Akaki Tsereteli (1840-1915) was a great Georgian poet, writer, publicist and public figure, one of the leaders of the Georgian National Liberation Movement. He was a great contributor to the establishment of the "Society for the Promotion of Literacy among Georgians", the creation of the Georgian Drama Society, and the development of Georgian journalism. He was one of the founders of the new Georgian literature and a reformer of the modern Georgian literary language.

According to this tradition, the great Georgian poet Akaki Tsereteli spent his childhood with a nanny in a peasant family in the village of Savane.
